Cath and John Freeman arranged the weekend away in Ambleside for June 28th - 30th 2024.  In all about 25 members attended plus Bertie the dog, with 20 walkers and some members who did not walk the full distances.  The main walk was The Coffin Trail from Ambleside to Grasmere and return but some members returned by the bus or ferry.  Visits were made to Dove Cottage and Wordworth's grave. A group evening meal was at Sheila's Cottage in Ambleside and visits were also made to the Golden Rule pub in Ambleside.
